Another
product that I’ve had a lot of success with is Agrifim’s
Hydro-pop pop up risers. They come in sizes 5 inch and 9 inch.
I use these to water my ground covers and flower beds on a
hillside. They become operational at 15psi and shouldn’t go
over 30psi. The other nice thing about these mini sprinklers
is they screw right into the same Tee or Ls that the large
sprinklers do. The
threads are the same. For more information,

I
have been using the nonstop drip emitters for a year and a
half. None
of them have plugged up yet. They are designed to flush out
the clogs. For more information, please

The whole secret to low volume micro sprinklers systems is a
good filter. The orifices are smaller than the full size
sprinklers and rotors and plug up easily. I’ve been using
Vu-flow filters. They spin the sediment from the water and the
sediment can be purged with a flush valve that is included.

We should understand….Save water,
save money!!! In
the 5 years and 11 months I have been repairing broken pipes and replacing broken
and
leaky sprinklers and rotors, we saved
$16,625
dollars.
The real problem with the commercial job was maintenance.
¼” round hole……………………….400,000
gallons
3/16” round hole……………………...225,000 gallons
1/8” round hole……………………….100,000 gallons
1/16” round hole …………………….....25,000 gallons
1/32” round hole……………………….. .6,300 gallons
The
job had so many holes in the 2 inch pvc
pipe, water would be running
down the road, in front of the project.
As soon as the one was
repaired you find another.
Also, if you use drought tolerant plants, you can save water to
view these plants and their characteristics. Cuyamaca College
has a website and they have a drought tolerant garden where
you can actually see what the plant looks like.
